She quickly landed many TV and film roles, most notably starring in seven episodes of Friday Night Lights in 2007 and five episodes of 90210 in 2008. She landed her first main role on TV in 2009, starring in One Tree Hill. In 2016, she competed on season 23 of Dancing With the Stars and came in fourth place.

Kramer signed a recording contract in 2011 and has released two albums, Jana Kramer in 2012 and Thirty One in 2015.

The ACM winner was married to Michael Gambino for less than a year in 2004, Johnathon Schaech from 2010 to 2011 and Mike Caussin from 2015 to 2021, when she filed for divorce. She and Caussin share two children, Jolie, born in 2016, and Jace, born in 2018.

After a brief romance with Ian Schinelli, Kramer moved on with Scottish soccer coach Allan Russell. The “Voices” songstress announced in May 2023 that the pair are engaged.
